Q1: Can I use devices other than Windows PCs?

A1: Of course, CommSafe is responsive Design by nature and should work on most devices and through most browsers.


Q2: How do I connect to another mailbox?

A2: You can browse Contacts and send a request if you want. (if they are not Private) Otherwise ask the party you wish to connect to if they have a Commsafe and get their Account Name and number, that way you get directly to them.


Q3: CommSafe email account?

A3: Soon and as much as we are not fans of doing some things over email, safe use cases will be supported. (inbound and outbound)


Q4: Can I be notified by CommSafe of messages and more?

A4: Yes, CommSafe will email or SMS you if you turn on those notifications in your Profile.


Q5: Can I do more than just send messages?

A5: Yes more sophisticated functions like signing of documents and accepting appointments is supported.


Q6: Can I receive Bills, Statements and the like?

A6: Yes, CommSafe is designed to do just that. By mutual agreement with your provider we can enact your connection to do just that.


Q7: Connections, what are they?

A7: Your Mailbox can only ‘talk’ to other Mailboxes and Business connections when you have been offered a connection and accepted or when you have requested a connection. (no SPAM!! and greatly reduced exposure to Malware)


Q8: How do I communicate with other people through my CommSafe?

A8: You need to send them a connection request and after they accept you can communicate with each other to send messages or share files.

Q9: If I don’t open a Statement delivered in a message can you mail it to me?

A9: Yes, Company to Mailbox document sends can timeout to deliver by Mail.


Q10: CommSafe Personal, what does that mean?

A10: CommSafe Personal is your Mailbox. Normally for individuals to use, it can also be for other entity types such as a Club Treasurer or a Business Name etc. The personal nature means only one logon applies to a Personal CommSafe. Your CommSafe holds details that are unique to your Mailbox and nobody else can use your logon email address.


Q11: CommSafe Personal, what does that mean?

A11: CommSafe Personal is your Mailbox. Normally for individuals to use, it can also be for other entity types such as a Club Treasurer or a Business Name etc. The personal nature means only one logon applies to a Personal CommSafe.


Q12: What is CommSafe?

A12: CommSafe is a Responsive Design Web based application. Covering Enterprise Level, Company to Customer and Person to Person use cases, multi- channel, multi-device, full life cycle communication events. CommSafe delivers, content messages and requests electronically or via print and mail. It has been designed and built to readily accommodate current and future user requirements and channels. It is set apart from other offerings by its breadth of function, ease of use and integration to users and companies, its clever management of “connections” and the integrity of those connections.

A13: Responsive design is a website architecture that automatically responds to different screen and window sizes on your device browser. (see video)

Q16: How do you verify my account on Sign Up?

A16: We verify respond to your Sign Up through your email account and mobile phone number.


Q17: Somebody else has the same name as me, how do I appear to be different to them?

A17: Your CommSafe gets a unique CommSafe ID that makes it easy for others to connect to you without giving away your email address or other profile details. If anybody tries to mimic your set up they are blocked by CommSafe.


Q18: Can I change my details?

A18: Yes, logon and update them.


Q19: My mailing address, why do you want it?

A19: Your mailing address allows us to redirect mail addressed to you (only).


Q20: Cost?

A20: Your basic CommSafe is currently free, once you cross you Plan Thresholds you will be prompted to explore your options.


Q21: Can anybody find and open my files?

A21: No, only you can locate and open your files. Unless of course you Share them.


Q22: Can I share my Mailbox?

A22: Not recommended, but you can effectively do so by sharing your password. You will have notification issues but some group type entities will find this to be normal. More sophisticated, controlled, sharing arrangements are in the CommSafe roadmap and we’ll let you know when.


Q23: If I receive mail redirected through CommSafe how do I know it’s not going to somebody else?

A23: CommSafe checks redirections against precise connection details, your mail cannot be sent to anybody other than you.


Q24: Privacy?

A24: CommSafe does not expose your details, history or content to anybody. Your Mailbox Name can be searched for unless it is Privacy Locked.
